What type of property investment do you seek? Active or passive?

Inactive property investor

There are a number of ways to achieve a steady return, whether through residential, or commercial property investment. It helps to think through the practicalities of day-to-day management, have clarity on whether you are a hands-on, or hands-off investor and what you are trying to achieve.

Are you a hands-off property investor?

For some investing from afar, or busy with their full-time profession or work, it may be more pragmatic to opt for a 'managed' route. This could mean considering a managed residential apartment, or Purpose Built Student Accommodation (PBSA) or investing in other property-related investments like property-backed bonds.

Investing in property in a City centre location

A main or secondary city can offer more persistent returns for landlords, given the demand for long term rental by city workers. Or indeed can be an ideal location for apartments on short-term lets to people who stay on city breaks.

Buying a Holiday Home to rent out

Buying a holiday home could be in a summer seaside town or a ski resort. So as to maximise rental returns and minimise void periods, ideally choose a location renters find desirable and a property type they will gladly pay for.
