'..Poland an attractive entry point into the EU'
Excerpt from the article on Poland property:
Louise Reynolds, Director of UK-based Property Venture® helps people buy property in Poland. 'Poland's place at the heart of Europe, makes it a great location for factories, warehouses and logistic operations' she says, pointing to the average GDP growth rate of 3.3 per cent over the past 20 years and the setting up of investment infrastructure worth more than €100 billion last year.
......Buying into Poland, however, does not automatically give investors residency, as is the case with some EU countries. But, Reynolds says residency is considered if there is proof of ownership of Polish property and the applicant is financially self-sufficient.
'Krakow is a fabulous city for foreigners wanting a base in Europe because of the many multi-national companies that have offices there. Warsaw has suffered less than other major cities in terms of property prices from its peak times of 2008' says Reynolds Cheaper property can be found on the outskirts of those cities, where a one-bedroom apartment may cost about €100,000 as opposed to central Krakow or Warsaw, where a similar space will cost €150,000 and €200,000.
Reynolds also says Poland has many ski properties worth investing in. 'While established European ski resorts have become unaffordable for many, Poland offers value for money'
Poland is to join the Eurozone as part of its 2004 EU entry deal, which could provide a fillip to Polish property prices, says Reynolds 'We only need to look to other countries that have adopted the euro and experienced an almost immediate inflation in property prices. The dynamics in Europe are different now, so it would be healthier for Poland if there was a more muted price rise.'
